We’re in search of a Release Manager (f/m/d) who can play a pivotal role in creating, what we believe, will be the first MMO of its kind.
Who will you be working with?
The Release Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the release of game updates, patches, and play session builds across PC and mobile platforms for SEED. They will plan and oversee the entire release pipeline, working closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring smooth, timely, and high-quality deliveries.
What will you be doing?
- Guide us through shaping the release process, ensuring that game updates, patches, and play sessions are delivered with precision and excitement across PC and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams like engineering, QA, and production to align on goals, creatively solve challenges, and keep everything running smoothly.
- Advocate first-party submissions to platforms such as Steam, Google Play, and the Apple App Store, confidently navigating the compliance landscape.
- Design and elevate release processes from the ground up, crafting a dynamic, scalable pipeline that will support our future growth and long-term live-service success.
- Take ownership of localization and compliance to ensure that our content shines globally, meeting all age-rating requirements and resonating with our target audiences.
You could be the person we are searching for if you have…
- 3+ years of experience in release management, preferably in the games industry, overseeing complex multi-platform releases.
- Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams, including engineering, QA, and production, to deliver successful projects on time.
- Hands-on experience with first-party submissions on platforms like Steam, Google Play, or Apple App Store, including managing compliance and platform requirements.
- Strong proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA or Confluence for tracking tasks, bugs, and release progress.
- Demonstrated ability to build and document scalable release processes, ideally in an environment without existing live-release frameworks.

- Release Management Final interview - With Maria & Oddur, our Studio Operations Director & CTO, this interview will focus on technical knowledge (build systems, automation, version control), handling cross-platform releases, coordinating with engineering teams, understanding release dependencies and risks.
What can you expect to be working on after starting with us?
In your first 30 days:
- Build connections with the team and understand the current release process.
- Start documenting release documentation and workflows.
- Support ongoing releases to familiarize yourself with the SEED project.
In your first 60 days:
- Take ownership of small release cycles and manage end-to-end coordination.
- Propose improvements to release processes based on initial observations.
- Collaborate closely with QA to understand testing requirements for releases.
In your first 90 days:
- Fully manage release pipelines and schedules, ensuring alignment with all stakeholders.
- Implement your improvements to release management practices.
- Establish clear communication channels for all release-related updates.
In your first 180 days:
- Drive the release strategy for SEED.
- Mentor and guide the Development Teams on best practices in release management.
- Consistently deliver high-quality releases on time, improving player experience.
