Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Reinsurance Accounting & Valuation team at our headquarters in Hanover / Germany, join us on a temporary basis for 24 months, commencing as soon as possible as a Reinsurance Accountant Spanish Speaking Life and Health Business.

Your Responsibilities

• Checking, processing and posting statements of account including assuring completion
• Claims processing including sanction screening and consultation with claims specialists
• Managing of SAP cash disbursement (current accounting), including clarification of open items
• Managing of forecasts and estimations for selected contracts
• Quarterly closing work
• Correspondence with internal interfaces and external customers
• Participation in working groups and projects

You come equipped with

• (Initial) experience in the life insurance sector of an insurance and/or reinsurance company
• Degree in business administration and/or commercial training with appropriate professional experience
• Spanish at native speaker level, independent user skills in German and English
• Basic understanding of different accounting principles, e.g. HGB, IFRS17
• Basic understanding of obligatory and facultative reinsurance contractual forms of advantage
• Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Curious to learn more about various IT landscapes and further refine them
• Very good understanding of numbers as well as analytical and conceptual skills
• Proactive, self-responsible and well organised way of working
