We are looking for a Regulatory Relations Manager who strengthens our Regulatory Relations EMEA team. In this role, you will be working in a dynamic and agile team and have pronounced visibility towards senior management, including the Management Board of UBS Europe SE, as well as a direct relationship with the European Central Bank. In particular, you will:

1. be part of a team responsible for effectively coordinating and managing the relationship between UBS Europe SE and the European Central Bank, BaFin, and Deutsche Bundesbank regarding all prudential supervisory interactions and responses to regulatory requests and inquiries
2. take over a defined coverage area within the team, with a focus on supervisory requests in the COO area
3. globally communicate with the Regulatory Affairs teams in Switzerland, US and APAC as well as with the local UBS regulatory managers in EMEA locations to ensure a consistent approach to regulatory issues
4. proactively engage with, brief, and advise senior management, particularly the COO of UBS Europe SE, on regulatory interactions within your coverage, and help to formulate an appropriate approach for regulatory communication
5. provide guidance and advice to business, and control & support functions to react to, and deliver against regulatory requests and exercises
6. monitor the execution and implementation of remedial supervisory actions and provide strategic guidance in relation to preparation for supervisory reviews
7. act as topic coordinator and point of contact within global topic related networks of Regulatory Affairs teams

Based on the strong interrelation of regulatory/ supervisory issues with UBS's businesses, this role offers exposure to a large network of specialists, senior professionals and management across UBS.

Your team

We are the interface between UBS and its key supervisors and maintain the day-to-day relationship in addition to supporting senior management in their interactions with supervisory authorities. We coordinate and manage supervisory exams and the resulting follow-ups and coordinate UBS's overall engagement and remediation activities.

Your expertise

1. a university degree (at least 2:1 or the equivalent) in any field of study. Your experience and dedication matter
2. several years of professional working experience in the financial services sector, ideally in supervision or project management (e.g. in a supervisory authority or the regulatory affairs department of a bank)
3. a sound understanding of the financial sector regulatory landscape and developments and related concepts
4. knowledge on COO related topics. Familiarity with Wealth Management or Investment Bank-related matters might be an advantage
5. an ability to work with experts across locations / functions; in particular with experts in regulatory, legal, compliance, and governance fields as well as with business representatives
6. excellent proficiency in spoken and written English
