Reception Officer/ Patrol Officer (m/f/d) for 17,50€ per hour

We are looking for several Security Guards (m/f/d) for our Berlin-Friedrichshain location, to work for one of our largest global client's from immediate effect.

Your Key Responsibilities as a Reception Officer / Patrol Officer:

• Follow all relevant Customer policies, procedures and processes
• Perform front-of-house duties, greeting staff and signing in visitors ensuring adherence to the Customer’s Visitor Management Policy
• Create and allocate ID/access badges as well as challenging those Customer staff who are not adhering to related badging policies
• Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors to the Premises and maintain strong geographical awareness of their local surroundings
• Be proficient in answering phones, emails and in using standard IT systems
• Have strong experience in CCTV, access control, fire and other associated systems and be able to undertake specific training in these systems to ensure competent use
• Perform patrols on office spaces, at least every two hours
• Identify and act upon all suspicious or potentially criminal activity, retaining full control until the emergency services arrive
• Provide emergency response in a crisis, including medical and fire incidents, to help ensure the safety of all the Customer’s staff and visitors whilst working directly with the Customer’s emergency response team
• Maintain strong lines of communication with the Customer’s security team leadership
• In cases of self-defence or citizen’s arrest, Security Staff shall use only that level of force necessary to effect an arrest or defend oneself. The proper law enforcement authority shall be contacted as needed. Security Staff shall ensure cooperation with authorised emergency personnel, provide assistance, and not interfere in the performance of their duties
• Security Staff must be well presented at all times
• Monitor the access control and CCTV system for suspicious activity and investigate as necessary. Any system faults will be reported to the Customer’s security team immediately
• Security Staff must maintain strict confidentiality of all the Customer’s proprietary materials and information

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and German public holidays
• Interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and German
• Team player with an enthusiastic, proactive attitude
• Ability to work both independently, using their own initiative, and within a team
• Flexible approach to work to suit business needs
• Ability to go above and beyond to support the Customer
• Understanding of relevant local laws to aid in effective job delivery

Technical Qualifications:

• Security Guard IHK Examination according to §34a GewO(Sachkundeprüfung gem. §34a GewO)
• Prior Security Industry experience preferred
• Previous experience in heavy volume customer service
• Excellent computer skills, specifically in MS Office
