Facility and Real Estate Management in Germany is combined in the “Industrial Facility Management Germany (IFM GER)” unit at Covestro Deutschland AG. IFM GER deals with both the responsibility for the compliant operation of the assigned properties and buildings and the fulfilment of agreed user and customer requirements. This is done by means of modern, effective, efficient processes and service concepts as well as an IFM organization based on them.

Legal and economic responsibility for the German properties is organized in two real estate companies as owners (Covestro First Real Estate GmbH and Covestro Second Real Estate GmbH), which are part of the IFM GER organization. In addition to their formal ownership role, the companies are responsible for the procurement and utilization of real estate.

In addition to our wide range of benefits, you can expect an attractive starting salary of between €108,600 gross/year and €135,700 gross/year plus a variable component for a full-time position. The starting salary depends on your qualifications and professional experience.

Your tasks:

• Responsibility for the portfolio of a German site, including the preparation of a sub-portfolio strategy and its independent implementation.
• Assumption of strategic and overarching topics relating to the real estate portfolio as well as real estate issues.
• Processing of the accounting and tax issues of the real estate portfolio (in coordination with accounting and tax in particular).
• Legal responsibility and professional support in fair value measurement (IFRS) and inventory count.
• Execution of the ownership role – implementation and maintenance of the obligations under the new Group guideline CORE 5.
• Responsibility for the conclusion and implementation of general contractor agreements.
• Support of project organizations, in particular with regard to financing, planning and approval processes.
• In this position, you have power of attorney for both companies mentioned above and support the managing director responsibly in the management of the GmbHs.

• You have a university degree (e.g. real estate management, business administration, engineering/architecture, law or comparable), ideally with additional real estate-specific training and at least 10 years of professional experience in the real estate sector.
• We expect in-depth knowledge of real estate, tenancy, construction and planning law.
• You already have experience in corporate real estate management, real estate transactions and dealing with authorities.
• You are characterized by a high degree of initiative, a sense of responsibility and negotiating skills.
• You have sound knowledge of MS Office and CAFM systems (e.g. Planon, SAP).
• Fluent German and good written and spoken English skills round off your profile.
