Quality Engineer (m/f/d)

We - MT Aerospace - are part of the OHB Space and Technology Group. As a leading international aerospace company, we develop, manufacture and test essential components for launcher programs such as Ariane, the U.S. Space Launch System (SLS) as well as commercial launcher systems, the Airbus fleet, spacecraft, satellites and defense applications. Thanks to globally unique manufacturing technologies, we create high-performance products made of metal and fiber composites, such as large load-bearing structures and cryotanks, lightweight structures and fuel as well as pressure tanks that combine maximum performance with minimum weight. We currently employ around 600 people at our headquarter in Augsburg and at the launch site in Kourou (French Guiana).

Your Tasks

1. Quality assurance support for space projects in the development and production phase
2. Preparation of QA documents, coordination with customer
3. Evaluate and approve specifications and test results
4. Monitoring of internal and external processes
5. Performance of First Article Inspections (FAI)
6. Evaluation of deviations and damage analyses, initiation and follow-up of corrective and preventive measures
7. Perform product acceptance with customer, prepare necessary acceptance documentation

Your Qualifications

1. Dipl.-Ing./Technician (m/f/d), preferably aerospace or mechanical engineering or comparable knowledge
2. Several years of professional experience in an aerospace company
3. Basic training in quality management
4. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and EN 9100
5. Moderation and teamwork skills
6. Good knowledge of written and spoken English
7. Confident use of MS Office applications / SAP
8. Independent, structured and goal-oriented work style
9. Knowledge of common welding processes desirable
