TUI Cruises is one of the leading cruise operators in the German-speaking region. The joint venture of TUI AG and the US cruise company Royal Caribbean Group Ltd. employs around 750 people in Hamburg and Berlin and operates 12 cruise ships: The 7 vessels of the Mein Schiff fleet offer contemporary holidays at sea in the premium segment. With 5 ships, the traditional brand Hapag-Lloyd Cruises stands for luxury and expedition cruises. TUI Cruises has already one of the most modern and environmentally and climate-friendly cruise fleets worldwide. In the course of sustainable growth, three more new ships are planned until 2026.

Purchasing Manager (all gender)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- In close cooperation with our Hamburg based project managers and the ships you are responsible for the purchasing of our cruise vessels.
- Research suppliers from a variety of usual and unusual sources.
- Develop procurement and negotiation strategy based on few variables.
- Perform moderately complex price analysis based on few variables and confer with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.
- Negotiate price, availability, and works with logistics to define transportation and delivery schedule (i.e. ordering and storing schedule).
- Manage supplier performance to ensure consistent service, high quality and low costs of goods/services.
- Work independently with minimum supervision and freedom of decision within guidelines.
- Attend trade shows, audit suppliers, visit ships for loadings, repositioning etc.
- During worldwide drydocks of the vessels you will be part of the project team on scene.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Commercial vocational training or bachelor degree or equivalent ships related procurement experience or specialized technical experience required.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.
- Negotiation and analytical skills required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
- Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
