Public Relations Manager Europe (m/f/d)

We are seeking an experienced PR Manager with automotive industry experience to support the launch of the Changan brand in Europe. This role requires a hands-on approach as we scale the business from the ground up. As the PR Manager, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the voice and presence of a new brand, working with an innovative product lineup that combines European design excellence with cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities:

1. Establish the PR function and lead the European rollout for Changan from the ground up.
2. Lead the PR agency selection process in collaboration with local and global teams, building a solid network in preparation for Changan’s commercial launch.
3. Develop and execute an annual PR strategy, ensuring alignment with the Changan brand and strategic direction.
4. Localize the global PR approach, aligning strategies with global PR objectives.
5. Manage media inquiries and foster media relationships.
6. Oversee event management for press events, product launches, media test drives, and other PR-related activities in coordination with local agencies and internal teams.
7. Coordinate interviews with Changan’s senior leadership team.
8. Provide crisis communication support as needed.
9. Monitor and analyze PR campaign performance, media coverage, and market trends to deliver insights and strategic recommendations.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or similar qualification
2. Several years of experience in public relations or communications.
3. Automotive industry experience is essential.
4. Strong understanding of the political and economic landscape between the EU and China.
5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in German and English; proficiency in other European languages is a plus.
6. Familiarity with PR analytics tools and an openness to adopting new MarTech tools.
