Position: Project Manager - The World Forum
Location: Berlin, Germany (on site)
Contract period: Unlimited
Remuneration: Competitive, based on experience
Application deadline: Rolling basis, early applications preferred.
The Cinema for Peace Foundation is looking for a Project Manager for the project "The World Forum on the Future of Democracy, Tech, and Humankind" to join the Cinema for Peace team in Berlin.
Since 9/11, 2001, the Cinema for Peace initiative has been aiming to influence through films the perception and resolution of global social, political, and humanitarian challenges of our time - especially to oppose war and terror. In recent years, Cinema for Peace has supported a number of important causes and films with artists and personalities such as Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, the Dalai Lama, Muhammad Ali, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Mikhail Gorbachev, and the former Honorary Patron Nelson Mandela.
The World Forum on the Future of Democracy, Tech, and Humankind will be an annual conference held in Berlin, Germany, that unites leaders from politics, civil society, and culture, engaged in ideas and practices for a better world and fundamental change. The World Forum serves as a platform where pressing socio-political issues of our time are discussed and tackled, while providing opportunities for official and unofficial diplomatic encounters, which may pave the way for progress on democracy, peace, justice, and freedoms. Every suitable panel will be followed by a lawmaking workshop where blueprint legislation will be developed with the goal of being used all over the world.
