Aufgaben

• You will actively shape the development and implementation of a new certification system for sustainable peat substitutes that are used in potting soils and professional substrates as an alternative to peat.
• You will work on various topics related to sustainability certification and take responsibility, including further development of sustainability requirements, supply chain traceability, alignment with legal requirements, accreditation, quality management and integrity program.
• You will support the application of new digital tools for audit processes.
• You will develop customized greenhouse gas calculations for substrate supply chains applying the new standard methodology and support its development.
• You will perform data research, analysis and evaluations for specific customer requests and the preparation of reports and market studies.
• You will implement the concepts and processes together with our customers.
• You will support the further development of our service portfolio and manage proposals and tenders.
• You will be responsible for the whole project lifecycle including scheduling, stakeholder management, documentation, controlling, preparation and participation in client meetings and project workshops (in-person and virtual).
• You will support communication and public relations of the certification system.
• You will perform company presentations at public national and international events.

Profil

• University degree in agricultural science, organic agriculture, environmental engineering, natural resource management, natural sciences, life sciences, sustainable management, or other related fields.
• Basic knowledge in GHG emissions accounting, GHG Protocol, ISO, IPCC or similar standards and Lifecycle Assessments for different products.
• Additional experience in following areas of advantage: sustainability certification, policy consulting, GHG/ carbon footprint calculation, stakeholder management.
• At least one year of professional experience in project management.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English (both at least C1), other languages of advantage.
• Strong presentation skills as well as the ability to explain complex issues in simple terms and to prepare professional presentations according to target group.
• High degree of initiative and commitment combined with an independent working style and pragmatic, hands-on attitude.
• Very good computer and MS Office skills as well as high general IT proficiency.
• Good affinity with calculations, data analysis and data collection.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally (upon request).
