A Japanese company providing industrial machinery and equipment is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join their newly building team in Dresden.
In the Project Manager role, you will oversee on-site progress and ensure smooth coordination across the area where you are responsible. Reporting directly to the supervising Project Manager, this role will focus on tracking site activities, summarizing key issues, reporting troubles, and communicating progress updates. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and that all site-related issues are promptly communicated to the supervising Project Manager, who will work with the client to make key decisions.
TYPE: Full-time, 3-years contract
WORKING HOURS: 8:30-17:00 (Mon-Fri, 5 days onsite, including 1 hour lunch break)
SALARY: up to EUR 75k (can consider more depending on experience)
START: 1st April 2025
LOCATION: Dresden, Germany
Project Manager Main Responsibilities:
• Monitor and manage day-to-day on-site progress, ensuring that tasks are completed according to plan and within the designated timeline
• Report regularly to the supervising Project Manager on overall site progress and any challenges encountered
• Summarize and highlight key issues that may arise, ensuring that relevant details are communicated promptly to facilitate timely decision-making
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure that work is being executed according to the project plan
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Assist in coordinating the integration of various departments (operations, quality, and engineering) during the commissioning phase
• Support the supervising Project Manager in gathering information needed for client discussions and decision-making processes
Project Manager Ideal Candidate:
• 5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on large-scale industrial construction projects
• Previous experience in semiconductor, cleanroom, or high-tech industrial construction is highly desirable
• Strong ability to manage daily site operations and provide clear, concise reporting.
• Strong knowledge of contracting best practices, risk management, and construction processes
• Business level of English
• Business fluency of German is advantageous
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing relationships
