We offer a Professorship for Organic Chemistry (salary group W3). The appointment is planned for October 1st, 2025.
Your responsibilities
A professorship (W3) for organic chemistry is to be filled at TU Braunschweig. We are seeking an expert (f/m/d) with a strong background and an innovative scientific profile in the field of bioorganic chemistry. Possible research areas include organic chemistry in the cell, new bioorganic methods, structure elucidation of natural products, natural product biosynthesis, enzyme catalysis, chemical communication, chemistry of evolution or related topics. Applicants (f/m/d) should be internationally recognized with a track record of acquiring external research funding. The professorship is associated with teaching duties at all levels of student education for the courses in chemistry (BSc, MSc) and artificial intelligence for molecular sciences (MSc). The successful candidate (f/m/d) is expected to be committed to the university’s strategic goals and to actively shape its holistic development. In addition to the classic service areas of a university (research, teaching and studies, transfer, governance and administration), this applies in particular to digitalization, internationalization, equality and diversity, as well as knowledge exchange.
