We offer a Professorship for Electrochemistry of Energy Storage (W3). The appointment is for the earliest possible date.
We are looking for an internationally recognized researcher in the field of "Electrochemistry of Energy Storage" with an interdisciplinary research and teaching profile in electrochemistry. The professorship should focus on basic research with a methodological or analytical focus in at least one of the following areas: Solid-state battery cells, (bio)fuel cells, electrolysis, electrocatalysis (e.g. for the conversion of renewable carbon sources such as biomass and carbon dioxide), redox-flow batteries, photovoltaics, molecular energy transfer, electrochemical synthesis (e.g. of e-fuels) and related topics.
The professorship is associated with teaching duties at all levels of undergraduate education in the field of electrochemistry. The successful candidate (f/m/d) is expected to support the university's key strategic themes across all performance dimensions (Research, Study and Teaching, Transfer, and Governance and Administration): internationalisation, sustainability, digitalisation, equality and diversity, transfer, and knowledge exchange.
International research and teaching experience, excellent command of the English language, as well as the ability and willingness to teach courses in English are a prerequisite.
