Your duties include
Representation of the field Systems Engineering of connected digital media technologies for communication in complex mobility systems (e.g. car/commercial transport, air and rail transport, individual mobility assistance systems, traffic and passenger assistance systems and their integration into multimodal mobility solutions) in teaching and research; both in basic and advanced interdisciplinary concepts
Research and development activities
Proactive acquisition of third-party funding through research and transfer activities
Practice-oriented teaching in the subject areas both in German and in English and also using digital formats (e-learning, blended learning)
Content-specific and strategic further development of the subject areas with special focus on digitization
High-quality supervision of practical assignments, Bachelor's and Master's theses as well as doctorates
Involvement in setting up new international partnerships and maintaining existing ones
Active and interdisciplinary involvement in administering academic affairs
Active involvement in the development and expansion of the degree programs at our university
You offer
Preferably an academic university degree in a relevant field, e.g. media technology, systems engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, information and communication technology, media informatics, computer science, physics or traffic and transportation systems
A thematic focus and practical professional experience in the design, implementation, and networking of media technologies for communication within and between mobility systems
Strong communication, cooperation and teamwork skills to solve complex problems in a highly interdisciplinary working environment
Above-average professional and academic qualifications in the development of complex technical systems and their connection in networks, e.g. in AV-systems
Knowledge of the development of technical systems using systems engineering methods and tools
Development and design expertise in the field of media technologies with forward-looking concepts, e.g. in the areas of connectivity, AI, usability, user experience
Practical professional experience in working in and/or leading interdisciplinary teams to develop complex system solutions
Very good German and English proficiency and ability and willingness to teach in German and in English
Enthusiasm for passing on your practical experience in teaching applied research to our students as future academics

Completed university degree
Excellent academic achievements in research and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent academic qualification
Pedagogical aptitude
Special achievements in the application or development of academic knowledge and methods in a minimum of five years of work experience, which must have been acquired after completion of the university degree and of which at least three years must have been acquired outside the university sector. If, over a period of at least five years, a considerable portion of your work involved a cooperation between a university and a non-academic employer, this time may be considered to meet the requirements for non-academic work experience in special cases (pursuant to Article 57 (3) Sentence 1 No. 3 of the Bavarian Higher Education Innovation Act (BayHIG)).
