VIP staffing is Immediately Hiring a Production Supervisor for a leading company in Belen, NM.

As a Production Supervisor, you will:

• Lead the daily manufacturing activities and coordinate resources required to accomplish daily production requirements.
• Ensure production targets are being met safely without sacrificing quality.
• Review daily work schedule and prioritize required tasks, assigning manpower accordingly to accomplish workload.
• Lead by example by consistently following safety, quality, and production procedures, guidelines, work instructions, and process flows.
• Notify the production manager of all incidents, including accidents, injuries, and rejected batches as soon as reasonably possible.
• Investigate incidents and forward written reports to the production manager, including recommended corrective actions to prevent incidents from recurring.
• Demonstrate accountability and leadership skills by establishing trust, motivating teams, and providing all staff with timely and clear performance feedback.
• Ensure production targets and KPI's (key performance indicators) are met.
• Participate in periodic safety and/or quality audits and communicate audit results with department associates.
• Develop and implement a corrective actions list.
• Maintain a high level of good housekeeping within the plant at all times.
• Coordinate the training process of all new associates by setting up training schedules, overseeing tools, machinery, training curriculum, and observation of competency in accordance with defined procedure, equipment, and safety checklists.
• Prohibit new employees from working unsupervised until proven to be competent in the specific task.
• Schedule and approve overtime hours on designated shifts as required.
• Maintain and audit daily production logs by the end of each shift to ensure they are complete and accurate.
• Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials required for the operation of the department.
• Participate in the hiring process, interview potential candidates, and provide input to the production manager on candidate assessment and hiring decisions.

Production Supervisor candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:

• High school Diploma or GED.
• 4 or more years of relatable experience, or an associate's degree with 2 years of experience.
• 1 or more years managing employees.
• Ability to comprehend detailed written instructions and procedures.
• Strong math and reading comprehension skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on your own, able to push/pull up to 1000 lbs.
• Must demonstrate excellence in leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication.
• Ability to complete all pre-employment screenings.

This is a Full-Time position.

Schedule is Monday – Friday 11:00 pm – 7:30 am.

Pay for this position is $64,000 - $75,000 DOE.
