Masentó Search have been engaged by a leading mid-cap Private Equity fund to identify candidates for Analyst and Associate openings in their Deals Team.

The Company

A well-established private equity firm based in Berlin is seeking to expand its investment team with a hire at either Analyst or Associate level. The firm specializes in mid-market transactions and has a strong track record of partnering with businesses to drive growth and value creation.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in the investment team, supporting all stages of the deal process, from origination to execution and portfolio management. Responsibilities will include:

• Conducting financial modeling and valuation analysis
• Supporting due diligence processes across various investment opportunities
• Preparing investment committee presentations and transaction documentation
• Engaging in market research and sector analysis to identify potential opportunities
• Working closely with portfolio companies to support strategic initiatives

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a solid foundation in financial modeling. Prior experience in private equity is preferred, but investment banking backgrounds will also be considered. Key qualifications include:

• Up to four years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, or a related field
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
• Exposure to due diligence processes and transaction execution
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Fluency in German (essential) and proficiency in English
• Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin
