About our client
Our client is the venture investment arm of a long-established family office. With a strong record in series A-C tech investments, focused on SaaS and fintech business models, the firm is currently raising a new vehicle with the family office's own substantial anchor position already committed and a differentiated investor base and strategy already lined up.
The firm is looking to bring on board a new senior investor to lead sourcing and execution of future investments, and to play an active role in portfolio management through to exit. The position will include managing and developing junior colleagues and over the medium term will expose the individual to increasing responsibilities in the management of the business, including investor relations.
The new hire is not expected to have to take fundraising risk and would join as the new fund comes on stream. What the job involves
Actively building the network of the firm with owners, managers, advisers and other investors to drive dealflow
Positive engagement with target management teams, positioning the firm as a partner of choice for the next phase of their growth
Leading analysis, valuation, structuring, negotiations and diligence, through to completion of investments
Representing the business on portfolio boards to drive value creation, right through to final exits
Wider strategic management of the business: developing the team; contributing to the evolution and implementation of strategy; future IR and fundraising cycles; long-term succession
Who we are looking for
A demonstrable track record as a successful early stage investor; exposure to SaaS and fintech is especially helpful but not essential
An entrepreneurial nature, ambitious to contribute to the active development of a small, dynamic team; low ego + team player
A wide, relevant network and a naturally outgoing, curious personality
Potential to develop into the long-term leader of this business - credibility, gravitas, empathy, ambition, vision
