Scope of the Position:

We are looking for a talented Plant Human Resources Manager to join our HR team in our newly acquired confectionery company in Germany. In this multifaceted role, you will support the production site in Hochheim (Germany) and the sales and finance teams working remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Payroll and attendance management: oversee payroll for around 100 employees, ensuring compliance and timely, accurate payments.
  • Relationship with the Works Council: maintain communication and prepare appropriate agreements.
  • Operational HR management: administer HR data, contractual documents, hiring/termination processes, recruitment activities, training, performance evaluations, and update company policies.
  • Benefits administration: coordinate with suppliers, communicate with employees, and ensure compliance with HR policies, including salary-related matters and annual salary reviews.
  • Employee and manager support: handle employee requests and matters, coordinate employee engagement initiatives, and manage internal communication.
  • Direct management: supervise a site assistant responsible for attendance, payroll, and administrative HR support.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Over 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
  • Solid experience in payroll administration.
  • Solid experience managing relations with the Works Council.
  • Experience with HR activities across the entire employee lifecycle (hiring, training, evaluations, terminations, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of German labor law.
  • Technical skills: Experience with HRIS/HCM systems, payroll systems, preferably ADP, and time and attendance systems.
