Piping Engineer - Outage

CCL Global are currently recruiting for a Piping Engineer for an Outage. The successful applicant will be a key appointment to the project and will work within the client’s integrated Piping Engineering team, to lead the outage stage of the project dealing with pipe stress calculations and NDI’s related to Piping, planning to start in May for about 8-12 weeks.

Location: Germany
(Contract) – Short-Term Contract.(OUTAGE)

Key duties will include:

• Pipe modification in relation to applicable piping standards within preparation
• Site visits during execution
• Cutting the pipe work installation of new valves to check the positions are correct to piping standards
• Verify WPS and Welders’ qualifications
• Make stress calculations
• Check with X-Ray programs to ensure standards are met
• Verify the results of the X-Ray and advise re-work if needed
• Advise if pressure tests are needed

Requirements:

• Experience with Pipe Stress Calculations
• Experience with NDI related to Piping
• Knowledge of standards including: ASME B31.3 (Process Piping) / API 1104
• Familiarity with welding procedures and qualifications
• Experience in Piping Design
• Experience with X-Ray on Piping
• Experience executing gas piping projects on-site
• Quality control and documentation skills
• Experience with reporting / As-built documentation
