Work Area: Clinic for Nuclear Medicine - Preclinical Theranostics
Job ID: 12152
Contract Type: temporary
Contract duration: 36 Months; in accordance with § 2 Abs. 1 WissZeitVG
The Preclinical Theranostics team focuses on theranostic approaches with the goal to deliver new insights into tumor biology, heterogeneity, and metabolism and their relationship and relevance to functional imaging and biomarker-driven treatments in nuclear medicine. Radiopharmaceutical therapy (RT) is a promising treatment option for various cancers. However, outcomes are rarely curative. We address this clinical need by investigating new radiopharmaceutical modalities and the mechanisms underlying the response/resistance to RPT. To improve RPT outcomes, we establish phenotypic (imaging) biomarkers and develop rationally chosen, translatable RPT-based combination therapies.
We are searching for an enthusiastic and highly qualified PhD student for a project within our EU-funded consortium Thera4Care. The project includes the investigation of radiopharmaceutical cancer therapy and its radiobiological effects.
