Hamburg-based asset manager for renewable energies is looking for a Performance Analyst (m/f/x) (Remote) to join the team as soon as possible and in a permanent position.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for performance and reporting functions for investment funds, to be used for internal strategic purposes and external reporting to investors.
As a Performance Analyst, you will be working within Luxcara’s Fund Management Team. This key role will provide you with exposure to multiple areas across the investment portfolio. Close collaboration with the investor relations, investment, portfolio management, and fund accounting aspects of our business will allow you to develop a well-rounded understanding of the way unlisted infrastructure funds are structured, invest and operate in Europe.
The role is structured for remote working from South Africa, with the opportunity to travel to Hamburg regularly, or based in Hamburg, if relocation is preferred.
Your Responsibilities
Your Tasks Will Focus On The Following Areas:- Preparation of quarterly and ad-hoc reporting to investors, including both qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Calculation and attribution analysis of the performance of Luxcara’s projects and funds
- Close collaboration with the investment and valuation teams and related modeling tasks
- Liquidity Management and maintenance of monthly cash flow information for the Funds within Luxcara’s reporting and controlling framework
- Respond to internal and external ad-hoc requests for tailored performance information
- Assist with fulfilling performance information requests as part of the Due Diligence Questionnaires during fund raising activities
- Support with ad-hoc projects and improvement initiatives as required
- Support with the development, improvement, and monitoring of the Track Record Monitoring Systems to streamline data collection, processing, and visualization of all track record-related indicators across the portfolios and investment funds
Desired Qualifications And Experience
- B. Com or equivalent majoring in finance, investments, economics, or accounting
- 2-3 years of relevant professional experience
- Progress towards CIPM or CFA is an advantage
- Preference to CA (SA) candidates and candidates with prior renewable energies and/or fund management experience
Your Key Competencies
- High affinity for numbers, strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good understanding of common performance indicators (such as IRR, yield, TVPI, etc)
- Good understanding of financial statements
- Excellent written and spoken English and clear and concise report-writing skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word. VBA and Power BI skills an advantage
- Good time management and deadline management skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with team members from all areas and levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently in a structured and organized way and also effectively in a team environment
