Per Diem Pediatric Nephrologists

St. Luke's University Health Network, the region's largest, most established health system, a major teaching hospital, and one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals, is seeking a per diem physician for its Pediatric Nephrology division to provide weekend call coverage and vacation coverage for the current team.

Ability to work fully remote and cover pager call only is available in addition to options for in-person coverage, including clinic coverage.

Position Requirements:

1. The Pediatric Nephrology division is seeking a per diem physician to provide weekend call coverage and vacation coverage for the current team.
2. Ability to work fully remote and cover pager call only is available in addition to options for in-person coverage, including clinic coverage.

Highlights Include:

• St. Luke's Division of Pediatric Nephrology is currently the only pediatric nephrology program in the Lehigh Valley area.
• Through a partnership with DaVita Dialysis, the Division of Pediatric Nephrology offers the only pediatric dialysis (PD and HD) services in the region. Rounding on outpatient dialysis patients is required.
• In 2023, St. Luke's announced the establishment of St. Luke's Children's Hospital at the Bethlehem Campus and is a proud member of the Children’s Hospital Association.
• St. Luke's Children’s Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics consist of inpatient, neonatal, emergency medicine, specialty, and primary care providers across various practice locations.
• St. Luke's Children’s Hospital is home to a newly renovated 17-bed Inpatient Pediatric Unit and 8-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
• The new Pediatric Emergency Department is a 6-bed unit located within St. Luke's Children’s Hospital and will expand to 11 beds upon completion of an ongoing construction project.
• The department is supported by a growing team of pediatric specialists spanning 40 specialty areas.
• The pediatric nephrology practice continues to grow due to a strong referral network of numerous pediatric primary care practices.
• Growing OB department with nearly 5,000 deliveries per year.
• Surgical Level III NICU located at St. Luke's Children’s Hospital, Bethlehem Campus, PA.
• Robust 12 hospital Network providing emergency care for over 320,000 patients annually.
