The People Business Partner (hybrid) acts as both a strategic advisor and hands-on executor, collaborating with business leaders to align HR initiatives with organizational goals while ensuring smooth implementation P&T/ Non P&T.

This role supports leadership and workforce development, fosters employee engagement, and facilitates change management efforts. The role drives diverse projects, also collaborating with the Works Council where needed.

What you’ll do

Strategic Partnership:

  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, understanding their objectives and providing HR guidance to drive success.
  • Collaborate with Talent Development and Organizational Development Lead to ensure leadership development and succession plans align with business goals.
  • Work with the Employee Experience and DEI Lead to promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture that reflects the company’s values.

Talent Management:

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Partner to ensure talent acquisition strategies meet the needs of the business units.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Development Lead to support employee growth and development, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Facilitate conversations with business leaders on talent needs, workforce planning, and internal mobility to ensure the right people are in the right roles.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Work closely with business leaders and HR specialists to address and resolve employee concerns, ensuring consistency and fairness in approach.
  • Support the Employee Experience and DEI Lead in fostering a positive, inclusive work environment, promoting open communication, and addressing employee feedback.

Performance Management:

  • Guide business leaders in implementing effective performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
  • Coach managers on providing constructive feedback and addressing performance issues, while leveraging resources from the Talent Development Lead for improvement plans.
  • Align performance management initiatives with company-wide efforts led by the Talent Development and Organizational Development Lead.

Change Management:

  • Lead change management initiatives within business units, collaborating with the Organizational Development Lead to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Act as a change champion, facilitating communication, training, and engagement efforts to support successful organizational changes.

Collaboration and Integration:

  • Work closely with all HR functions, particularly the Talent Development and Organizational Development Lead, Employee Experience and DEI Lead, and Talent Acquisition Partner, to ensure seamless integration of HR initiatives across the organization.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between business units and specialized HR roles, ensuring that business needs are met through collaboration and teamwork.

Works Council Management:

  • Manage the relationship with the Works Council, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on relevant HR and organizational matters of your area of responsibility.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with the Works Council to address employee concerns, negotiate agreements, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Works Council-related issues, ensuring that business needs are balanced with employee rights and interests.

Data:

  • Use HR metrics and data to provide insights and recommendations that drive business performance.
  • Monitor key HR indicators and collaborate with HR specialists to develop action plans that address trends and issues, leveraging the expertise of the team.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):

  • Partner with the Employee Experience and DEI Lead to embed DEI principles into people practices within the business units.
  • Support initiatives to create a more inclusive workplace, ensuring alignment with company-wide DEI efforts.

HR Projects:

  • Drive diverse HR projects.

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in HR roles, particularly in business partnering.
  • Proven experience in managing Works Council relations and addressing employee concerns in a collaborative manner.
  • Strong experience in collaborating with HR specialists and business leaders to align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to drive business decisions and improvements.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Experience in Reward (e.g., bonus schemes, compensation schemes, sales incentive plans) is an asset.
