Patent Engineer

We are a growing patent law firm located near Freiburg/Germany. Our focus is on patent prosecution services for international clients before the European Patent Office (EPO) and the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).We are looking for an enthusiastic

Patent Engineer, Patent Agent, Patent Attorney, or Candidate

with a strong technical background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science, preferred with expertise in data processing, compiler technology, EDA, or Artificial Intelligence.

Required competencies: PLEASE, ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE ALL REQUIRED COMPETENCIES!!!

• University-level scientific degree or technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic degree (at least 3 years) in electronics, information technology, mathematics, mechanics, physics, or equivalent.
• Strong technical background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
• Native-level proficiency in German.
• Excellent English language skills both verbal and written.

Preferred competencies:

• Two or more years of professional experience in prosecuting patent applications before the EPO and/or the USPTO.
• Experience with operating systems, compilers, reconfigurable computing, AI, ANN.
• Experience with electric motors, mechanical engineering, avionics.
