Up to 8,500 athletes and officials from around 150 nations will compete in six cities for 12 days - in 18 different sports. To strengthen our team, we are looking for the period from 01. May to 27. July 2025 for a Music Director (m/f/d) in freelance work (fee-for-service contract) for the implementing company of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games. Temporary contract from 01.05. to 27.07.2025. The position is located within the Event Presentation department. As the Music Director (m/f/d), you are responsible for creating and organizing the Event Presentation (EVP) Music Library, which will be used by EVP DJs across all sports. In addition, you are responsible for supporting EVP DJs to use the library, including leading an onboarding DJ Workshop. This position is an overarching role without a fixed location.

Specifically, your area of responsibility will focus on the following tasks:

• Compile and curate the EVP music library with a compilation of modern, well-known, and internationally recognized songs, with a particular focus on familiarity in Germany/ Europe.
• Ensure all tracks are appropriate in terms of size, format, and quality.
• Ensure all tracks are free of any offensive words or lyrics, religious or explicit content or anything that promotes any kind of prejudice.
• Help develop and take part in the DJ Workshop, explaining the library structure and implementation, feedback process.
• Proof and incorporate tracks from entertainment acts and freestyle athletes.
• Prepare the transfer of the library to individual DJs.
• Provide additional DJ support during Games Time, as needed.

Ideally you have the following skills and knowledge:

• Experience working as a live DJ at large events, ideally sport events.
• Proven curatorial and organization skills.
• Knowledge of current and international music trends.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage and work well with a team.
• Fluent in English, ideally German as well.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
• Experience and knowledge of RR2025 sports is a bonus.
