Mining Engineer
Our client is an international leader in shaft construction and an innovative service provider in mining and tunnelling. They are one of the world's leaders in the field of mining contracting. As a growing company, they are represented in the mining centres of all five continents.
For their headquarters in Dortmund, they are looking for a permanent and full-time Mining Engineer (m/f/d) for the "Mining Planning" team. The "Mining Planning" team is part of the "Technical Services" department and deals with special projects in the field of mining, final disposal, and retrieval of radioactive waste.
Your Areas of Responsibility:
- In the role of mining engineer, you will be involved in bidding, planning and execution projects.
- In particular you will plan, control, monitor and, if necessary, optimize all processes of mining projects in the various planning phases in close coordination.
- You will work with other specialist companies from the construction, mining, radiation protection and nuclear sectors and communicate primarily with our operating offices as well as with building owners, licensing authorities, experts and specialist planners.
- You will create presentations and present work results to clients, authorities, and experts.
- In summary, you will form the interface between the technical, commercial, and official sides.
What you bring to the company:
- A successfully completed engineering degree in the field of mining or comparable (Bachelor's, Master's or Diplom-Ingenieur) qualifies you for this job.
- Initial professional experience as a mining engineer or in a comparable position is an advantage, but we do not require it.
- A general technical and business understanding is also advantageous.
- In addition, you are fluent in written and spoken German, and foreign language skills can be useful.
- You are confident in using MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- You are characterized by an independent and responsible way of working, effective self-organization, and good time management.
- You have strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ideally, you have a general willingness to travel.
