Upvest, founded in 2017, enables any financial institution to offer great investment experiences to its customers. Upvest is an investment firm regulated by the German supervision authority (BaFin). The company currently employs 160+ people across Europe with its headquarters based in Berlin, Germany.

The company is backed by the world’s largest venture capital funds and investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, BlackRock, Earlybird, HV Capital, Notion Capital, and ABN Amro Ventures, as well as by renowned fintech entrepreneurs (including Maximilian Tayenthal, founder of N26, and Felix Haas, founder of IDnow).

We’re looking for fintech enthusiasts to join us in creating the financial infrastructure of tomorrow. We’re building the first European Investment API to enable any financial institution offering a wide range of efficient and transparent investment products, such as stocks and ETFs in nominal, portfolio, and fractional form. Our mission and vision is to make investing as easy as spending money.

We’re based in Berlin and we are considering Berlin based candidates for this role.

Team's mission

We are the Talent Acquisition team of Upvest and part of the People Team. Our team consists of three professionals focusing on attracting and hiring top-quality, diverse talents that drive our company’s success. Acting as strategic partners to our stakeholders, we promote our employer brand while ensuring a smooth and inclusive candidate experience.

Our goal is to contribute to the long-term growth and culture of Upvest by hiring individuals who align with our values and mission.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Take responsibility for the end-to-end recruitment life cycle attracting the best talent for various departments.

  • Develop and implement proactive sourcing strategies to attract top passive and diverse candidates for various roles.

  • Cultivate a strong talent pipeline by using your network, attending industry events, and innovative sourcing techniques to find the best talent.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and hiring managers advising them on best practices while influencing their decision-making.

  • Act as a strategic partner for the entire hiring team playing a key role ensuring that the right hiring decisions are made.

Job requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on recruiting and sourcing experience, preferably in an international, dynamic start up and/or agency environment.

  • You thrive intaking ownership of your hiring projects while driving data and results independently.

  • Strong ability to assess and evaluate candidate profiles to ensure alignment with job requirements, company culture, and values.

  • You can easily navigate ATS platforms (we use TeamTailor) and sourcing tools (such as LinkedIn Recruiter).

  • You have a headhunter mindset, excelling at sourcing passive candidates and creatively engaging talent, especially for hard-to-fill or niche roles.

  • You are self motivated, proactive, and resourceful in finding solutions and staying ahead in a fast-paced environment.

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

It’s great if you have:

  • Experience working within FinTech or a strong understanding of the financial services industry, particularly in areas like investment, digital banking, and emerging financial technologies.
  • A passion for finance and investing, and a keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest FinTech trends, innovations, and market shifts.
  • Fluency in German, both written and spoken.
