Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor

Location: Frankfurt

Sector: Construction (Data Centre)

Job Type: Full-Time

The Role:

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will be the company’s key representative on the ground, responsible for managing subcontractors and crews to ensure that all work is completed on schedule, to high quality standards, and in compliance with safety protocols. This is a management role, not a hands-on position—you will lead multiple teams, attend daily progress meetings, and track all aspects of the project’s mechanical work, ensuring smooth and efficient operations on-site.

You'll be reporting progress to senior management, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring subcontractors are meeting the agreed targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, coming from a trade, and now looking for a more managerial role, particularly in complex industries such as pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, or industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise multiple subcontractor crews on-site, ensuring all work is carried out according to schedule and scope.
  • Oversee mechanical installations, including process piping and high purity piping systems, ensuring compliance with strict quality standards.
  • Monitor health and safety regulations, ensuring all team members are following proper safety procedures at all times.
  • Attend daily whiteboard and progress meetings, as well as other project-related meetings (e.g., design and procurement).
  • Track and report on daily progress, identifying any delays and implementing solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse team, including subcontractors who may have limited English, ensuring that instructions and expectations are clear.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Oversee the commissioning process, ensuring systems are properly tested and ready for operation.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role, managing mechanical teams and subcontractors in a pharmaceutical, oil & gas, or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including process piping and high purity piping.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
  • Proven experience managing large teams and subcontractors, with a strong emphasis on health and safety.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, particularly in managing multinational teams.
  • Familiarity with progress reporting, tracking systems, and commissioning procedures.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to be on-site full-time in Frankfurt.
