As a Mechanical Plant Process Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing plant operations, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring that mechanical systems perform reliably and efficiently. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, support maintenance activities, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Optimization: Evaluate and improve mechanical processes to enhance production efficiency, quality, and safety.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, including pumps, compressors, and heat exchangers, to minimize downtime.
Project Management: Lead or support plant projects, including upgrades, modifications, and expansions.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company standards.
Technical Documentation: Create and update engineering documents, including process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in mechanical/process engineering within a chemical, petrochemical, or industrial manufacturing setting.
Skills: Proficiency with CAD software, process simulation tools, and MS Office Suite. Familiarity with PFDs, P&IDs, and root cause analysis techniques.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of chemical plant processes, mechanical systems, and regulatory compliance in the chemical industry.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, PMP) are a plus.

Fluent German speaking is a must.
