This position reports to Operations Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a "Mechanical Engineer" in a technical sophisticated business related to power conversion equipment in the marine business for our location in Hamburg as soon as possible. Your main responsibilities:

• Development of customer-specific mechanical solutions for control cabinets and power converters, including technical documentation for products in special shipbuilding
• Responsible for conducting design reviews
• Close cooperation with electrical engineering development and production in solving product-related issues
• Integration of electrical and mechanical components into the design
• Supervision of the mechanical design over the entire product life cycle from the prototype phase to the series product
• Ensure that contractual obligations are met while respecting safety and quality

Qualifications For The Role

• Completed technical education and/or technical studies
• Experience in SOLIDWORKS CAD and SOLIDWORKS PDM
• Interest in the development of power electronics
• Good mechanical, electrical and thermal understanding
• Practical experience in mechanical engineering
