What you can expect from us:

• Conduct a comprehensive scientific literature review on the state-of-the-art Augmented Reality (AR) applications in vehicles
• Design, conceptualize, and develop a prototype AR application based on the literature review
• Evaluate the prototype using scientific methods, such as surveys or user studies
• Document your procedures and findings in your master’s thesis and contribute to a scientific publication

Potential topics may encompass:

• Depth cues for virtual objects in AR
• Environment occlusion for virtual objects in AR
• Leveraging Generative AI with virtual Points of Interest

Please indicate in your cover letter which topics interest you, whether from the provided list or any new ideas you may have. The final topic selection will be made in consultation with the university, you, and us.

Qualifikationen

You have the right skills:

• Ongoing master’s degree in the field of computer science, media informatics, human-computer interaction (HCI) or a comparable field
• Good understanding of development in 3D engines (such as Unity) or a good understanding of generative AI
• Basic experience with Augmented Reality or Virtual Reality (AR/VR/MR)
• Ideally, you already have experience in academic research and conducting scientific studies

• You are enthusiastic about Augmented- or Virtual Reality
• You like to familiarize yourself with new topics and can acquire the necessary knowledge independently
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in written and spoken German or English
