We are now looking for an experienced Marketing Manager in the Frankfurt area.

Our client is a well-known consumer goods manufacturer and this specific role will be focusing on the development of their skincare brands across Europe!

Summary Description:

The Marketing Manager will support the creation of the strategic brand vision for European Brand Marketing and be responsible for driving growth within the EU.

The role is responsible for leading the Marketing strategy in the Netherlands and Italy for our client’s skincare brand and exploit the potential for market entry into more markets in Europe. The role works closely with the local regional sales teams and distribution partners to ensure the direction and management of the marketing strategy is a shared vision and effectively managed. This role encompasses the development and execution of long and short-term consumer-centric strategies, marketing plans to activate consumers across all touchpoints, advertising, in-store excellence, and sales promotion programs to achieve the global marketing strategy.

  • Strategic: Can distill brand priorities into simple frameworks that drive behavior for a broad set of brand stakeholders including Marketing, Sales, distributor partners, and cross-functional teams/peers.

  • Uses Judgement: Can use data but also can leverage judgment and intuition based on experience to make timely and informed decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the brand in BNL and Italy and drives sales via the commercialization of global, consumer-centric big ideas.
  • Partners with the EU Sales teams and distribution partners to ensure strong distribution of products and successful joint brand planning.
  • Lean on and interpret regional strategy for growth and implement locally.
  • Manage day-to-day risks & opportunities within the local markets.
  • Develop local level consumer communication plans, utilizing key mediums across Digital, Social, Influencer, as well as other locally appropriate channels.
  • Partner closely with key sales peers to ensure retailer activation and retail media plans are best-in-class.
  • Assess trade and consumer event opportunities & requirements and play a lead role in organizing.
  • Evaluate new segment/channel entry opportunities for the brands – including analysis, landscape assessment, consumer targeting, launch strategy options with a clear recommendation.
  • Hands-on approach to local projects to bring the activations to life, handling multiple projects such as product, packaging, retailer activations, and point of sale materials throughout the project end-to-end.
  • Support the EU Marketing Director with regional planning such as strategy & media.
  • Regional budget responsibility.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Marketing or a related discipline, or alternative experience gained from a consumer goods product into Continental Europe.
  • Marketing experience within the EU Regions.
  • Relevant marketing experience in channels such as skincare or Health & Beauty desirable.

Specific Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects that vary in nature from strategic through execution.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including abilities to envision, enroll, energize and execute.
  • Strong collaborator across multiple functions & levels of the organization.
  • Results-oriented approach with a willingness to bust through barriers and dive in at the detail level as needed.
  • Experience of managing complex media budgets for EU countries.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel across Europe and potentially the US.

This role is based in Offenbach and is hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

You will be reporting to the Marketing Director Europe also based in Offenbach.
