Managing Director Ebersdorf/Lehrte (f/m/x)

Your mission:
As the Managing Director for the Ebersdorf/Lehrte plant within the Corrugated Packaging business, your mission is to lead the transition from a family-owned business to a corporate environment. You will be responsible for delivering strategic, commercial, and operational leadership to ensure the plant meets and exceeds targets in profitability, market positioning, safety, health, environment, and investments. By developing and empowering a strong, diverse leadership team, you will drive the plant's integration with Mondi standards and promote cultural integration. Including:

• Develop and manage the plant to align with business plan assumptions, ensuring profitability and effective cost control.
• Integrate the plant according to established Mondi standards, such as Safety & Health, and ensure compliance while driving cultural integration.
• Ensure operational excellence by overseeing plant operations, optimizing efficiency, productivity, waste management, and quality standards.
• Develop and manage the plant's product portfolio, focusing on profitable growth and sustainability targets, while ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
• Assess, develop, and recruit skills and competencies required for future success.
• Build and maintain trusting relationships with colleagues and stakeholders within the Mondi Group and external partners, including local authorities.
• Lead members of the site leadership team, providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.

Your profile:

• Experience in managing a production site, preferably in the packaging or related industry; Mondi experience and experience with workers council are advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results, improve operational efficiency, and achieve targets.
• Proven ability to build high-performance, inclusive teams and promote talent.
• Ability to lead change processes and guide teams through transformations in complex, rapidly changing environments.
• Experience in customer engagement with a focus on driving sales and business development.
• Strong communication skills in English and German.
• Knowledge of Six-Sigma and Lean methodologies is advantageous.
• Demonstrates strong leadership presence, with the ability to take charge, assume broad responsibilities, and effectively guide others.
• Willingness to maintain a strong presence on site at our newly acquired operations in Germany.
