About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic-minded Manager of Internal Communications. The Internal Communications Manager will play a crucial role in developing and executing our internal communications strategies and initiatives with a focus on Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering employee engagement, promoting a positive work culture, and aligning employees with the organizations goals and objectives.
This position will be in Sailauf or Munich.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communication strategy aligned with the company’s vision, mission, and values
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, Compliance and marketing, to plan and execute internal communication initiatives and campaigns
- Manage the strategy, coordination and distribution of Magna people stories internally and externally to enhance the company’s brand reputation
- Create and curate relevant, engaging and impactful content for internal communication channels, including newsletters, intranet, mobile applications and digital signage
- Identify subject matters and relevant topics for Magna internal podcasts. Also execute plan and co-moderate German-speaking specific internal podcast
- Support rollout and maintenance of internal communication tools, including training of users and administrators
- Translate and proof-read internal & external communication materials (English, German; other languages are a plus)
- Organize and facilitate regional town hall, employee meetings, and other relevant events, ensuring accuracy and consistency in messaging across different languages. Coordination includes logistics, IT, marketing, and working with external vendors
- Work with social media team to identify and collect content from regional resources appropriate for posting on Magna channels
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communication efforts and provide recommendations for improvement based on insights gained
- Work with external vendors
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in internal communications, incorporating relevant strategies and tools into our communication approach
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Communications/Public Relations, Marketing, or related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience or combination of education and experience, preferably in a leadership role
Your preferred qualifications
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful internal communication strategies and initiatives
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and project management skills
- Experience working with executives at all levels
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic and international project environment
- Strong in Microsoft Office programs and CMS for online platforms (SharePoint); photo and video-editing software is an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English , other languages considered a plus
- Experience working with employees at all levels across a matrixed organization
- Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadline
- Ability to maintain confidential information and data discreetly
