Job Description
As an Analyst or Associate (Corporate Finance / M&A), you will be a key member of our corporate finance / M&A deal team, supporting and / or managing transaction execution and business development activities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting and / or managing a broad spectrum of corporate finance / M&A transactions (both sell-side and buy-side) from kick-off to completion, working closely with senior team members and clients.
- Preparing new business presentations and other client materials in close collaboration with both junior and senior team members.
- Conducting and / or reviewing financial modeling and valuation analysis, including DCF, precedent transactions, and comparable company analysis.
- Preparing marketing materials (e.g. teasers, info memos, management presentations) for sell-side and buy-side advisory assignments.
- Conducting in-depth industry and company research to support strategic recommendations.
- Assisting in and / or managing due diligence processes and transaction execution on a day-to-day basis, liaising with clients, counterparties, and other advisors to drive deal progress.
- Actively participating in client meetings (both marketing and execution).
- Mentoring and training more junior team members (i.e. interns and / or analysts, as the case may be).
Required Qualifications
We seek candidates who demonstrate the following:
- Well-rounded academic background, ideally with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field from a top tier university.
- Prior corporate finance / M&A-related experience is required (for Analysts: relevant internships; for Associates: 3+ years relevant full-time working experience).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel and manage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English are required.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
