M&A Analyst | Industrials Group

Our client is a leading European asset-heavy platform spanning environmental services and industrial support functions. Anchored by a stable family ownership structure and powered by an ambitious buy-and-build mandate, the group has demonstrated sustained multi-billion euro revenue generation across multiple geographies. As the business continues to expand its footprint in essential infrastructure and environmental services, the Corporate Development team is seeking to appoint a high-calibre Analyst to support its inorganic growth strategy.

Position Overview

The role offers a rare opportunity to contribute directly to the execution of strategic transactions in a high-velocity deal environment. The Analyst will be an integral member of a lean, high-performing Corporate Development function, working closely with senior decision-makers and business unit leaders on M&A and strategic investment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end support across the full M&A lifecycle, including market and target screening, financial modelling, due diligence coordination, valuation analysis, and post-merger integration
• Perform detailed company valuations using DCF, trading and transaction comparables, and other standard methodologies
• Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda, management and board presentations, and other decision-support materials
• Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives to identify and evaluate strategic growth opportunities within existing verticals and adjacent markets

Candidate Profile

• Outstanding academic credentials in finance, accounting, business, or a related discipline
• Initial professional exposure to M&A, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, or Valuations—ideally through internships or early career experience at a reputable investment bank, Big 4 firm, or corporate M&A team
• Strong quantitative toolkit, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Highly analytical with a structured, commercially minded approach to problem solving
• Effective communicator, comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders in both German and English
