Job Title: Engineering Manager - Solar Utility

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our solar utility projects across Europe. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in solar PV, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as technical lead for a series of projects, providing technical engineering support and overseeing project development from early stages to commissioning.
• Support the Project Development function from early development to Financial Close (FC) and Ready To Build (RTB).
• Lead the technical assessment of project acquisition opportunities, including management of external Technical Advisors during Due Diligence.
• Review and analyse project information, define design and main equipment, and undertake LCOE optimisation exercises.
• Identify and mitigate constraints and risks to projects, adjust design as needed, and lead review of EPC Contractor bids and reports.

Requirements:

• At least 8-10 years of experience in Solar PV, with a proven track record in large-scale Solar PV in Europe.
• Strong knowledge of Solar PV plant constituent components, with knowledge of Battery (BESS) technologies a plus.
• Experience in design and simulation software, including PVsyst, PVdesign, AutoCAD, and/or other Solar or BESS modelling software.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Fluent English spoken and written.

Salary: Estimated salary is £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
