We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our solar utility projects across Europe. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in solar PV, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as technical lead for a series of projects, providing technical engineering support and overseeing project development from early stages to commissioning.
Support the Project Development function from early development to Financial Close (FC) and Ready To Build (RTB).
Lead the technical assessment of project acquisition opportunities, including management of external Technical Advisors during Due Diligence.
Review and analyse project information, define design and main equipment, and undertake LCOE optimisation exercises.
Identify and mitigate constraints and risks to projects, adjust design as needed, and lead review of EPC Contractor bids and reports.
Requirements:
At least 8-10 years of experience in Solar PV, with a proven track record in large-scale Solar PV in Europe.
Strong knowledge of Solar PV plant constituent components, with knowledge of Battery (BESS) technologies a plus.
Experience in design and simulation software, including PVsyst, PVdesign, AutoCAD, and/or other Solar or BESS modelling software.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Fluent English spoken and written.
Salary: Estimated salary is £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
