As a Legal Counsel (m/f/d) in the Corporate Legal department, the central legal department of our company headquartered in Darmstadt, you will assist in the legal support of the Döhler Group companies worldwide.
Your Role
- As an expert in your field, you will advise on and address all issues related to operational, legal, commercial, and sales law, including areas such as contract law, product liability, corporate law, and compliance.
- You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts with our (inter)national clients and business partners.
- You will also manage disputes and legal conflicts.
- Additionally, you will handle product, warranty, and other liability cases.
- You will develop, implement, and monitor compliance processes and structures in accordance with legal requirements in Germany and support relevant audits.
- Furthermore, you will advise departments and management on all relevant compliance matters, particularly regarding topics in data protection, the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG), and ESG.
- If necessary, you will accompany mergers and acquisitions, including legal reviews.
- You will actively and continuously implement strategies to structure legal frameworks, secure legal positions, and manage corporate activities.
- You will work on projects related to issues such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Your Profile
- You have several years of professional experience in the legal department of a globally operating company or a regional law firm with a focus on commercial law.
- You have successfully completed your studies in law (first and second state exams).
- You have a knack for dealing with compliance and legal matters and have already applied your solid compliance knowledge in practice.
- You demonstrate strong commercial understanding, a balanced risk awareness, a meticulous work style, and an analytical understanding of complex relationships.
- You stand out with your ability to prioritize and can act pragmatically and hands-on when needed.
- Your demeanor is confident, and you excel at formulating precise and persuasive communication.
- You are characterized by strong communication and assertiveness skills, as well as pronounced negotiation abilities.
- Your working languages are German and English (additional languages are a plus).
