Legal Counsel (f/m/d) IP & Quality Governance

A Snapshot of Your Day

As an expert lawyer in our Legal Corporate Function team, you will advise Siemens Energy central functions such as Innovation, Intellectual Property (IP), M&A, Strategy & Sustainability and EHS, Quality Governance & Security (EQS) on challenging innovative technology projects and governance topics related to product and occupational safety and environmental regulatory frameworks. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting a variety of complex national and international research & development collaborations with innovation partners, universities, research institutes, customers and suppliers, as well as IP aspects in M&A projects and in commercial transactions. In addition, you will act as the key legal contact for the group-wide Quality Governance & Security management team, especially providing essential legal guidance on the relevant regulatory frameworks for product and occupational safety.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Providing legal guidance to business partners within the Siemens Energy group on a variety of IP-related national and international projects, as well as drafting and negotiating contracts, including: joint development and cooperation agreements for research and development collaborations, M&A projects, and commercial transactions.
• Guiding the business partners through the regulatory frameworks related to product and occupational safety and environmental legal aspects relevant for our business.
• Developing and providing trainings for legal colleagues as well as business partners.
• Encouraging an organizational culture of ownership, empowerment, transparency, speak up, inclusion, and diversity.
• Collaborating closely with the global Siemens Energy Legal & Compliance community.

What You Bring

• Fully qualified lawyer or equivalent degree.
• Long-term proven professional experience as a lawyer or legal counsel in the field of IP Law and Product Liability Law.
• Customer-focused personality and ability to balance multiple demands at the same time.
• Passion to enable business transactions efficiently and inspire change.
• Good communication skills combined with intercultural sensitivity and competence.
• Excellent language skills in verbal and written German and English.
