This role, based in Dreilinden, will report into the General Manager of eBay Germany, and will focus on business operations and strategy for the German business.
This is a high profile role which will execute against critical initiatives, business plans and day to day operations that will deliver impactful business change, driving a customer-centric organization that works together to drive enterprise value!
What you will accomplish:
- Strategic Partner to GM: In collaboration with the leadership team, serve as a strategic partner to the international markets GMs, spanning from critical initiatives, annual planning, to daily business operations.
- Steering and Driving Strategic Projects: Spearhead cross-vertical and horizontal projects to drive solutions to the organization’s strategic challenges and initiatives, including developing and sharing project plans, timelines, roles and responsibilities.
- Overseeing Business Operations: Owning the regular business operations for the portfolio, including defining relevant measurement methodologies and tracking against those goals via regular reporting cadences and touchpoints (WBRs, QBRs, etc.)
- Preparing Executive-Level Deliverables: Engage and work with cross-functional teams to deliver executive-level outputs in many formats, including ELT/board decks and other senior leadership readouts.
What you will bring:
- Proven track record of strategic planning and execution, taking a project from idea to full implementation in a large complex organization. A consulting / strategy background is preferred.
- Results oriented with a consistent record in managing metrics with impact on business performance and an analytical approach.
- Fluent English; fluent German preferred.
- Proven record of delivery and an ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, being able to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Ability to articulate vision and purpose for the initiatives and programs as it relates to long-term goals and objectives.
- Experience with project and program management & delivery.
- Strong communication skills, quickly able to gain trust and confidence with people at all levels.
- Able to articulate challenges, blockers, problems effectively and be able to work through solutions with team members to overcome them.
- Strong Excel (modeling, pivot tables, advanced functions, statistics) and PowerPoint skills, being able to tell a story at various levels.
- Executive level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to tell an elegant story backed by data.
- Highly organized, systematic problem solver who thrives on being efficient.
- Passionate for attention to detail.
- Comfortable and hands-on with data, analytics, and modeling.
- Desire to “roll up your sleeves” to perform all functions from administrative processing to leading change initiatives.
- Solid project management skills, having managed and successfully delivered multiple, complex projects on-time and on-budget.
- Highly inclusive and can build relationships across different countries at various levels.
- Exposure to an ecommerce/marketplaces is advantageous.
- Fluent German & English (written & verbal).
