Lead Engineer – oracle

Client is looking for a candidate with experience as a DBA + Developer (Relevant experience in software product development using Oracle Application Express, Java, and Python with strong modelling and design capabilities. The technical area could be but is not limited to RDBMS Databases).

Primary Responsibilities

1. Develop automation platforms and modules to support database operational support teams.
2. Analyse incidents for root cause and update platforms and automation to eliminate problems.
3. Develop platform automation tooling to eliminate "toil".
4. Provide support to application development teams in product and performance selection.
5. Product database support for Exadata and Oracle Databases.
6. Designing Database Model.

1. Core Oracle Database DBA.

3. Oracle Performance Tuning.
4. Oracle PL/SQL Development.
5. Bash / KSH Shell Scripting.
6. Good written and spoken English, German is a plus.
7. Strong experience with Oracle RAC including build, administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
8. Hands-on experience in Oracle ASM and Dataguard administration.
9. Strong experience in backup, recovery (including flashback technologies), and migration using RMAN, datapump, and export/import processes.
10. Python / Development.
11. Ansible Playbook Development.
12. Git / Stash.
13. JIRA.
14. Java / Development Skills.
15. Oracle APEX.
16. Knowledge of database scripting and automation technologies.
17. Knowledge of server concepts & architectures.
18. Knowledge of network and firewall concepts & architectures.
19. Knowledge of enterprise storage concepts & architectures.
20. Knowledge of ITIL framework.
21. Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.
22. Terraform knowledge.

Experience / Qualifications

- Years as an Oracle DBA in a large scale environment.

Evidence of application development team support.
