Lead AI Project Manager (m/f/d)

Join us at ZDF Sparks and be part of an exciting journey in AI innovation! We are looking for a full-time Lead AI Project Manager (m/f/d) for our location in Berlin in a hybrid set-up at the earliest possible starting date.

Your Role

You join ZDF Sparks’ growing team of data experts and take a lead on end-to-end management of various AI projects, including:

• Business development in collaboration with our main clients, including requirement analyses and solution designs in alignment with the customers’ business, data, and technology strategies.
• Staffing and operational management of the projects using agile methods and tools.
• Stakeholder management, documentation, communication, and conflict management.
• Leading and guiding technical teams to ensure successful project execution and high-quality AI solutions.

In addition to your role, you will also take on disciplinary leadership responsibilities for a Project Manager and a Data Analyst. You also take the lead in organizing knowledge-sharing activities to upskill ZDF Sparks employees and their customers on the latest possibilities of artificial intelligence.

Your Profile

• You are an experienced AI and Data expert who understands data from both business and technology perspectives as well as leadership experience, including technical leadership of teams and disciplinary leadership responsibilities for individuals, enabling you to guide and support your team effectively.
• You have a background in management consulting and bring experience in leading AI, data, and software solutions, as well as initiatives in cross-departmental and international settings.
• You enjoy end-to-end management of customer projects, leveraging agile processes and tools.
• You are a strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills and maintain a holistic view of complex projects while breaking down goals into manageable milestones to ensure fast, high-value delivery without compromising quality.
• At heart, you are a team player who is passionate about helping others stay up to date with the latest developments in artificial intelligence and translating them into real business value.
• Ideally, you bring expertise in data and AI and can contribute to tasks such as AI solution feasibility studies, in-depth technical and financial risk analyses, as well as AI/ML model reviews or code reviews.
• Fluency in German and English completes your profile.
