Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Job Summary
As a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Supervisor, you will be involved in implementing and managing HSE policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization. In this role you will report directly to the PMO Senior HSE Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a Health Safety and Environmental team.
- Develop goals and initiatives to achieve a Zero Harm culture and reduce incidents.
- Coordinate the delivery of HSE products and services to operations and shared services personnel, in support of business execution.
- Interface and negotiate with regulatory bodies, clients, customers, and subcontractors.
- Execute the processes that directly impact training, report writing, plan development and implementation.
- Incorporate health standards directed by regulatory agencies and clients to prevent hazards and diseases from work sites.
- Under the general direction of PMO Senior HSE Manager, you will be accountable for the performance and results of a related discipline or sub-group within a function.
- Supervise the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members.
- Participate in the development of functional strategies and may be responsible for global processes and procedures.
- Coordinate the return-to-work program with PMO Medical to ensure reduced worker compensation costs.
- Develop and track HSE KPIs.
- Be responsible for the performance and results of a related discipline or sub-group within HSE.
- Be prepared to travel and work in austere environments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Safety or related HSE field and at least 8 years of HSE experience, with a minimum of 2 years of HSE supervisory experience. A High School Diploma and at least 10 years of HSE experience and a minimum of 3 years of experience in an HSE supervisory position may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of AR 385-10 (Army Safety Program) and OSHA Code of Federal Regulations (29 CFRs 1904,1910, and 1926).
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of HSE programs, policies, procedures, and processes.
- Requires a strong understanding of applicable regulatory requirements.
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and improve processes.
- Requires experience mentoring more junior team members.
- Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Requires the ability to work in outdoor environments.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation or other HSE related designations.
- Experience working in the government contracting sector and/or in austere environments.
- Advanced knowledge of regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Proven track record in developing and managing HSE programs and initiatives.
- Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills.
- Advanced HSE certifications or specialized training in areas such as incident investigation, risk management, or industrial hygiene.
