In your role as a Junior Software Engineer (m/f/d), you will contribute to accelerating our engineering organization by enhancing the software development lifecycle across all of our engineering teams. You will focus on learning and assisting in improving tools and processes that enable our engineers to deliver high-quality software efficiently and reliably. This includes supporting CI/CD improvements, adopting automated testing, and implementing site reliability engineering practices with the guidance of senior team members.

Job Description

• Assist in enabling engineers to consistently deliver value to our customers by providing tools and processes for automated testing, software quality, and observability
• Contribute to building tools that drive the use of CI/CD and the adoption of platform components by our engineering teams
• Learn and help develop automated testing practices, from unit tests to end-to-end production tests
• Support the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance tools like SonarCloud to ensure high code quality
• Support creating adaptable testing tools and frameworks that simplify the integration of automated testing into the development process
• Contribute to our observability and incident processes using tools like Datadog and Incident.io
• Collaborate with product engineers and team members to improve software delivery processes
• Share knowledge and best practices to uplift the engineering team

Qualifications

• A foundational understanding of software engineering principles and a desire to improve software delivery through automation and continuous improvement
• Experience in one or more programming languages like Golang, Kotlin, Python or Typescript
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and related tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI is a plus
• Familiarity with at least one cloud platform provider such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Interest or experience in automated testing practices.
• Eagerness to learn about observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog
• Open-minded personality, comfortable working in an Agile environment and making decisions in a collaborative way
• Motivated, proactive, and a passion for helping others and improving processes
• Fluent English communication skills
