We are a midsize team of friendly open-source enthusiasts. Outside of coffee chats in Google Meet, we focus on building innovative platforms that serve millions of users. Our team provides the foundational security layers that power internet-scale applications.

Who We Are Looking For:

A Junior Security Engineer who is curious, proactive, and passionate about cybersecurity. We're seeking someone who:

1. Likes diving deep into security challenges
2. Has a systematic approach to identifying and mitigating security risks
3. Is excited about learning and growing in the cybersecurity field
4. Enjoys collaborative problem-solving
5. Demonstrates a strong ethical approach to digital protection
6. Is comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
7. Sees security as an enabler of innovation, not just a constraint

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Conduct comprehensive security assessments and vulnerability scans
2. Assist in identifying and analyzing potential security threats
3. Support the implementation of security policies and best practices
4. Help investigate and respond to security incidents
5. Participate in security awareness and training initiatives
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall security posture
7. Perform initial security configuration reviews
8. Support compliance and risk management efforts

What We Call Required:

1. Strong problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership
2. Solid foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles
3. Strong communication skills (English is a must, German is a plus)
4. Basic understanding of:

• Network security concepts
• Security monitoring and incident response
• Common cybersecurity frameworks

1. Passionate about security best practices
2. A strong aversion to security vulnerabilities and manual security configurations
3. Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
4. Commitment to continuous improvement and security awareness

What We Call Desired:

1. Relevant cybersecurity certifications (CompTIA Security+, etc.)
2. Basic programming skills (Python, Bash)
3. Understanding of:

• Threat detection mechanisms
• Security information and event management (SIEM)
• Basic cloud security concepts

1. Experience with security tools and technologies
2. Knowledge of Linux/Windows security fundamentals
3. Basic understanding of AWS or cloud security services
