You will work as a (Junior) Data Scientist (m/f/d) in CHECK24’s AI Forge – a central Data Science and AI department implementing cutting-edge AI and machine learning services, customized for different CHECK24 business units. Responsibilities

• Completed studies (at least Master's degree) in mathematics, physics, computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable course of study
• Solid theoretical-mathematical understanding and hands-on experience of modern machine learning techniques, with focus on text data and Natural Language Processing (NLP)
• Strong conceptual thinking coupled with analytical mindset and problem-solving skills through leveraging statistics and machine learning
• Solid programming experience with Python and confident handling of the main libraries/frameworks for machine learning (e.g. scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, Tensorflow)
• Enthusiasm for taking machine learning services from concept to production by using software engineering skills and state of the art cloud services
• Execute exploration and technical data analysis on text to generate process and business insights
• Research and implement text modeling techniques throughout the full toolkit of NLP, from simple regular expressions to state-of-the-art architectures, like transformers or various established LLMs
• Establish training procedures as well as interpretability and explainability of developed models to assure valuable usage for various business use cases
• Take machine learning systems into production, mostly using cloud technologies (AWS), as well as continuously maintain and optimize deployed machine learning systems
• Communicate cross-functionally with software developers, product managers and management to set goals
