As IT officer you will support the IT Coordinator and be responsible for the provision of office-IT services to internal and external users. Further you will be in charge of coordination of external IT-providers and in liaison with the IT Coordinator the evolution of Spaceopal’s IT-infrastructure. The IT officer will report to the IT coordinator of Spaceopal.
This includes in particular:
Maintaining a key-position between our users and IT-providers
Support for the evolution of Spaceopal’s IT-infrastructure
Planning, coordination and support implementation of IT-changes
Monitoring the IT-providers and infrastructure by implementing useful KPIs
Providing technical support and incident-management for our users together with our external L1-partner
Provision of L2 support for Spaceopal’s IT-services
Providing user level training on applications, including, but not limited to: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and other basic computer related skills
Maintaining the system documentation and configuration-management
Additional Duties:
Supporting the purchase manager for all IT related procurements (definition of requirements, evaluation of offers etc.)
Supporting the implementation of new IT technology
Assistance in research of new technologies and software that might be beneficial to the company
Supporting the IT coordinator in technology strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
Maintaining service-quality by monitoring organization standards
Working with the external service provider to plans to enhance client services, improve user effectiveness and foster innovation
Required Qualification and Experience:
University degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Telecommunications or Electronics) or comparable education
Experience in IT Support and IT Infrastructure setups
The IT expertise required is along the lines of : - Experience on Web server hosting/server migration between (linux) virtual machines, cloud infrastructure - Experience in IT Security compliance and accessibility with SSH protocol - Experience in modern databases for enterprise software engineering (e.g. influx db)
You understand and live IT as an enabler for the whole company and appreciate the value of excellent IT-services
You are a strategic thinker and able to connect user-requirements with business-value and management-needs
In-depth knowledge and experience of: - Windows and Linux operating systems for clients and servers - IP based network infrastructure - Office IT-infrastructure - Ticketsystems and configuration-management-databases
Basic knowledge of the ITIL-framework
Fluent written and spoken English, fluency in Italian and/or German is appreciated
Strong attitude to team work, great communicator internally and externally, even in demanding situations
Hands-on mentality and systematic, self-organized, able to prioritize way of working
Work location:
SPO headquarter (Munich, Germany). It could be necessary to spend time periodically at the GCC-D (Oberpfaffenhofen, Munich, Germany) and/or at the GCC-I (Fucino, Italy).
