As an IT Manufacturing Specialist, you will be a part of a world-class team responsible for designing and building the automated and robotic equipment at Tesla factories. If you are a technical expert in various areas, thrive under pressure, enjoy solving problems, love working your way through chaos, and get bored with mundane IT tasks, then this role is for you. The IT Manufacturing Specialist is a unique role on the front lines of Tesla manufacturing.

• Your primary responsibility is to ensure minimal IT downtime for manufacturing.
• Work with various teams (controls engineers, production associates, application teams) to troubleshoot issues.
• Perform root cause analysis, document findings, and suggest changes to prevent future outages.
• Install, support, patch, upgrade, replace, and remediate all IT hardware along manufacturing lines.
• Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, software and network issues.
• Improve the security posture of manufacturing by patching, updating and securing vulnerable hardware and software.
• Interact with multiple teams to plan and manage equipment installation and support.

• Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on Windows machines.
• Familiar with imaging hardware devices and updating firmware.
• Previous exposure to troubleshooting thermal label printers, barcode scanners, hand-held radios, digital signage.
• Experience troubleshooting basic client-side network (DHCP, DNS, Static IP) problems.
• Must be available for swing shift, weekends, and on-call support.
• Very good written and spoken English skills (German is a bonus).
• Multi-tasking ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
