What You Can Expect

During your internship opportunity with a duration of 3-6 months, you will become acquainted with several tasks within our unit, giving you the chance to apply your theoretical knowledge in the daily business and gain hands-on experience. BASF xarvio Digital Farming is one of the world's leading groups in delivering digital agricultural solutions.

1. In your new role, you analyze agricultural data using Python or R.
2. You combine field-specific crop data with remotely sensed satellite to help farmers improve crop production.
3. You also combine different scripts into a smoothly running script, including code cleanup and documentation.
4. In addition, you support the team in designing and refining data-driven agricultural solutions.
5. Last but not least, you contribute new ideas on satellite bands or indices that can be useful in an agricultural context.

What You Offer

1. Enrolled student in agricultural sciences or similar subjects.
2. Extensive work experience; international experience is an advantage.
3. Sound experience in programming with R or Python.
4. Profound experience in data analysis, preferably geospatial data in space and time.
5. Sound experience in adapting, developing and simplifying code.
6. Strong communicational skills in English; speaking German is nice to have.
