Our Inland Transport Planner is responsible for cargo movement and intermodal processes to ensure timely and planned delivery of import and export containers while using the best way of transport with costs and performance in mind to grow our inland business and deliver the highest customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the timely movement of cargo and coordinate with vendors and Customer Service
- Ensure standardized transports based on planning & optimization
- Work closely with vendors on performance and build relationships for future growth
- Focus on transport quality, costs, and reporting
- Customer-oriented mindset to fulfill customer requirements
- Work in daily operations with meeting structures and projects
- Monitor and resolve issues as they occur during planning or execution for the own area of responsibility & ownership – mainly for vendors, terminals, rail stations, depots
- Work closely with your Team Leader/Manager regarding daily operations, objectives, and Maersk targets
- Be in the center of coordination with other Maersk business units including Equipment, Customer Service, Sales, and Intermodal Product to serve customers in the right way and improve processes while resolving issues
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years of experience in the transportation/shipping industry or equivalent experience
Competencies and Behavior:
- Agile and dynamic attitude with strong organizational skills
- Understanding of the transportation industry
- Empathic and good communication skills with people at all levels of an organization and stakeholders
- Organizational and time management skills – multi-tasking and prioritizing, planning work activities efficiently to meet deadlines and high-level goals
- Drive for results and success – deliver under pressure, convey a sense of urgency and drive issues to closure
- Customer focus: Dedicated to meet the expectations and requirements of internal customers; drive for quality and improvement of products and services
- Enjoys working hard: Action-oriented and full of energy for challenging tasks
- Good language skills – German (and English) required
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) products and ability to quickly adapt to software
